Amish...with a Twist!

This quilt came from Corie. She's a relatively new quilter and she really did a fantastic job. I picked this one up in Quincy and then had it back to her in time for Christmas--it was her parents' present and they loved it!! (Sorry about the corner of my table in the picture)

If you look up this quilt online or have the pattern, you'll notice that the applique in the corners is missing. Corie wasn't able to make it work for her, so instead of applique in two corners, I did some special quilting with variegated thread in the four corners. I wanted to add a bit of color to those big, black borders.

The rest of this post is picture heavy! I quilted with gray thread on the blocks and black everywhere else. Lots of SID and then design work in each block, so there are pics of the front and lots of pics of the back where the quilting actually shows. Remember, if you click on the pictures, they get larger for easier viewing.

And, finally, a pic of the entire back. Sorry its not more clear--I'm working on a way to make my photos better in the future.

Thanks for your patience with my sporadic postings!!

Dory
