Little Things

I'm more of a "glass half-full" kind of person, willing to change my plans on a whim if it suits me and/or others. (Perhaps this is why my sister often calls me "Pollyanna"??) So when I discovered that the back of my current quilt looked like this... I was thrilled! Who'd have thought that a simple cc'd triangle with an alternating waterfill in the middle would make such a cool design on the back? I was just hoping to keep the quilting simple and yet offer some interest. I love when this happens!

The front of the quilt is a very simple pieced block with many different triangles, so simple quilting was important. I didn't want to overshadow the piecing.

The front's simple cc's in the triangles along with the water meander in two different directions accomplished what I had hoped for. I like how it turned out...on both sides!

Remember, if you'd like to see the quilting up close, just click on the picture.  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Looks like your customer got a toofer, great deal, two for the price of one!! I agree, it looks great and yet the quilting does not overpower the piecing, and then on the back there is that symmetrical pattern that develops with great quilting.
