Jan's Barn Quilt with Barn Quilts!

This top hung for a long time at Sleepy Valley Quilt Company in Port Angeles. It was an unfinished top and I longed to get my mitts on it, but alas, I didn't think that would ever happen.  Then I got a call from Jan asking if I'd quilt it for her. I was so excited!  Isn't it awesome??

I love how the barns are quilted in the blocks with primitive stitching and then each barn has its own quilt block on it. It sure made for some fun quilting. I'm attaching a bunch of pics--see what you think.




I love that the one above actually has a pony!!!!





Here's a couple of the barns from the back...they turned out pretty fun!





The rest of the quilt were these thin piano keys that you see above, feathers and CC in the diamond shapes.  A couple more pics below.



And a final pic of the back of the quilt.

If you click on this one for a closer view, you can see how I mimicked the diamond pattern in the border in several places--the piano keys just needed a little somethin'!
